We are interested in deepening our sense of connection with, and our experiential knowledge of ourselves and the ‘natural world’. We aim to nourish ourselves with somatic explorations that attune us to our senses and emerging creative movement. We teach ourselves about the landscape that we are a part of. In the act of returning to the same place we are asking: What does this specific place have to tell us? About how we are personally, and the wider issues of human impact on environment, and how do we give back to the place through our return visits?
The practicalities
We aim to meet every 6 weeks whatever the season, weather, and with whatever we personally are with at the time.
One of us volunteers to lead ('dilight') the day in terms of theme, focus and structure.
We usually walk/dance in silence engaging with the theme from Clare's house to the barn
According to the dilighter's suggestions we may move alone, as a group, or in pairs with one witnessing / responding
We may move in the barn, the meadows, the woods, around the pond or in the lane
We maybe invited to gather, to write, to draw, to share
We walk back and chat
